The 3rd generation consoles

After North America was plunged into the Crash resulting in the Video Game Crisis of 1983, many American industries had to stop the production of consoles, this moment was used by the Japanese company Nintendo to make what would be his masterstroke: launching the Nintendo Famicom to the market in 1985 in America, redesigned was known worldwide as Nintendo Entertainment System.

Many people believe that this is the first generation of consoles, however the previous generation consoles also used 8 bits, it was not until the end of this generation when people started to label the generations with bit nomenclatures, in part this was because people wanted to differentiate the 8-bit consoles and the 16-bit consoles. This generation became known as the “8-bit era”.

Two years later the company SEGA would launch its first video console in Japanese territory which they called Sega Mark III, this video console was marketed worldwide under the name of Sega Master System (The most successful video console was the Nintendo Game Boy).
