History of Mattel consoles

The multinational toy company that triumphed with the Barbie doll, or Hot Wheels scale cars, had a change of management after an accounting fraud was uncovered.
The new management would continue with new toy lines and also bet on video games in the late 70s creating the Mattel Electronics subsidiary.
Its Intellivision console, the first 16-bit console, starred in the first console war, rivaling the Atari 2600.
