History of Coleco consoles

The Connecticut Leather Company enters the video game console business in 1975, under the leadership of Arnold Greenberg, when dozens of companies jump into the video game industry following the success of Atari Pong. Most of them based on General Instrument's "Pong-on-a-xip" integrated circuit.
So much was the demand for this chip from all these companies that General Instruments was unable to serve all the demand, but Coleco was among the first on the order list, which allowed them to keep the company afloat.
